There are currently two types of ES fibers:

1. Polyethylene/polypropylene composite fiber is composed of PE/PP, the outer layer is PE (polyethylene, melting point 130 ℃ ), and the core layer is PP (polypropylene, melting point 165 ℃ ).

2. Polyethylene/polyester composite fiber is composed of PE/PET, the outer layer is PE, and the core layer is PET (polyester, melting point 255 ℃ -260 ℃ ).

The characterization of ES fibers requires a combination of various methods, such as microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, melting point, and dissolution.

First of all, it is necessary to observe the longitudinal and cross-sectional morphology of the fiber with a microscope, and whether there are skin-core structural features. It can be characterized as PE by Fourier infrared spectroscopy, and the melting temperature of the fiber can be analyzed by melting point instrument. The composition of the core layer is PP or PET. There may be two types of core fibers in ES fibers. Dissolve the core layer with an organic reagent, observe the dissolved residue, and obtain the qualitative result of the hot-air cotton.

At present, there are many fake ES fibers on the market, mixed with polyester fibers or other types of fibers, pure polypropylene fibers or pure nylon fibers, so when companies purchase such materials, it is recommended to test the composition first.

Also known as hot air filter cotton, cotton non-woven fabric, it belongs to a kind of filling material in N95 masks. In order to balance the heat preservation and protection effect, the manufacturer uses large volume, good elasticity, softness, strong warmth retention, and good hot air permeability. The cloth is sandwiched in the middle of the folded N95 mask, which has the effect of heat insulation, moisture-proof and moisture-proof, and improves the comfort of the wearer. Its filtering effect is only primary filtering, so it cannot replace melt blown cloth.

Es fiber, by adding shell powder and titanium dioxide powder, makes Es fiber have good air permeability, good moisture-proof and mildew-proof effects, and can absorb a certain amount of harmful gases in the room, and can react with carbon dioxide in the air to form calcium compounds. The overall strength, the mixing of shell powder and titanium dioxide powder can improve the reflection effect of the fiber at the same time. When Es fiber is applied to interior decoration materials, the light on the porous surface of shell powder with a certain particle size range is prone to diffuse reflection in the interior decoration materials. The synergistic effect of titanium dioxide in a certain particle size range can make the indoor light softer, reduce visual fatigue, and benefit the care of human eyes. However, when the particle size of titanium dioxide is too large, it will affect the diffuse reflection effect of shell powder. The preparation method of the ES fiber provided by the invention is simple, convenient for industrial production and low in cost. Before preparing ES fibers, the shell powder and titanium dioxide are mixed with the core layer resin into the masterbatch to ensure that the shell powder and titanium dioxide are fully dispersed in the ES fibers.
